Welcome to Room 111
Welcome to our web page. Our mission, in room 11, is to make friends, learn, have fun, help others, and share for our school, our family, and ourselves.  We will do this by listening, trying our best, being courteous, following the character counts pillars, working as a team, following rules, and being a good sport in order to gain more knowledge, become an independent and responsible adult, and learn right from wrong.

Homework
Homework is usually given nightly, except on Fridays. Your child should not be spending more than 30 minutes on homework each night. In addition, please practice addition facts with your child each night and encourage him/her to read for at least 20 minutes as part of his/her nightly work. Students who do not turn in homework will need to stay in with me during their recess time to finish it. Please remind your child that homework needs to be completed each night. Ask them about what they are learning in school. Show them that you care, and they in turn will also care.

School Behavior Rules
All students are expected to follow these school rules:
* Show respect to others in all that you do and say.
* Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
* Take care of your school.
* Listen carefully for directions.
* Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.

Playground Rules
Students are expected to follow certain expectations when playing on the playground during recess. There are adults to supervise children and they will report any inappropriate behavior.

Classroom Notes
Please check and sign assignment notebooks each night. Notes may be written in them that you will need to respond to. It is also a great way to send me a quick note. I check them daily, so please use them to keep in touch. I check my phone messages before school, at lunch and after school, and will return your call as soon as possible. I also check my e-mail several times throughout the day. If you need to get a message to me, this would be the quickest way.
