In the beginning of May, each classroom took a fieldtrip to Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary in Schaumburg, IL. During the fieldtrip, the children were given the opportunity to listen to a story, plant a marigold that they could take home, actively engage in a flannel board activity related to vegetables/ plants and actively explore in a vegetable garden outside/ plant seeds.

During the month of May, each classroom also assisted in planting flowers in the front and side of the school for everyone to enjoy.
