ABOUT THE ART TEACHER

My teaching career began in my home state of Wisconsin after receiving my B.S degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin. I moved to Illinois, raised my family and recieved my M.A. from Concordia University. Presesntly, I am in my 17th year at Sundling teaching 7th and 8th grade art. I have studied art at several colleges in Illinois and worked with many artists in the media of watercolor, graphic design, and photography. For the past year I have been designing/painting with fabric dyes on silk, the color is outstanding. This year I am working on achieving my National Board Cerification, which focusses on an educators effective measures that impact student learning.

The courses that are offered are ART FUNDAMENTALS, for 7th grade, 2-D, 3-D, ART TECHNOLOGY, and STUDIO for 8th grade students.
